If you are thinking to start learning Programming, Then you must have basic knowledge of computer and its functionality like how ram/hard disk stores data, how internet works etc. Because programming is not that much simple, it is like maths. In maths you have to keep doing practice same thing come here. But the first thing is why need to learn programming?
If you want to create any application, game, android app, windows app then there is no other way than the programming. Programming means writing code where computer converts that code into machine language. Because without converting that code, computer can not understand it.
So basically what is language? Language is medium of communication. Unfortunately computer can not understand English or any other communication language. So if we want to communicate with computer then we must know this programming language. This programming language is medium to communicate with computers.
Who can learn this programming language? Any person who interested in making software or game can learn this programming language. But should have technical as well as logical knowledge. This technical and logical going to help you a lot in this programming. So if you want to improve your technical knowledge then you can do research on technology how things developed and read more things which are related with computers... But if you want to improve your logical knowledge then you should try to solve puzzle, even you can play games like Counter-Strike, try new things with different hand which going to help you a lot.
So what you want is Logical and Technical Knowledge. Then start with Logic Building session. Now you what is logic building? Logic Building is technique where you understand how to write statements where computer can understand. I know this is not programming language but this is very important because if you don't know how to write program then it is worthless...
So after this Logic Building start learning C programming Language then C++ programming Language. After all then you can either go with Java programming platform or .Net programming platform. Because both ways are little bit difference. If you want to develop windows apps then you must go with .Net programming platform, but if you want to develop android apps then you must go with Java programming platform.
But if like to design web pages like google, yahoo, then go with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery. C and C++ knowledge beneficial before start learning JavaScript. And same thing also with jQuery but before you planning to learn jQuery, i recommend you to go with JavaScript because jQuery is bunch of JavaScript Library.This is not enough now so there is one more thing to do is HTML 5. But after HTML 5 you can plan to learn Bootstrap for responsive pages. Responsive page are most trading today because of different device like desktop, smartphone and tablet.
